Author Spotlight

Hi my friends, welcome to our Author Spotlight page. One of my favorite things to do is to interview authors of the books that inspire me! There’s nothing like getting a bit of the back story–and sharing it with you.

Today I want to introduce you to Lori Hatcher. 

Lori Hatcher is a Christian author, life-long prayer warrior, and encourager to those who refuse to give up on their loved ones. Married to her husband David for over 40 years, Lori has walked the valleys of unanswered prayers and the mountaintops of faith-tested hope. As a mother, Gigi (grandmother of four), former homeschooling mom and veteran dental hygienist, her life is woven with both the sacred and the everyday.

A pivotal moment in Lori’s journey occurred when God taught her not only to read His Word—but to talk back through prayer. Scripture and conversation with God ignited in her a passion to intercede—for prodigals, broken relationships, chronic needs, or long-held family longings.

Through her popular devotions—both on her blog and in devotional collections like Refresh Your Prayers and Refresh Your Hope—Lori offers uncommon insights and power-packed prayers for those who are weary of waiting. As she shared in April 2024, “I pray every day for beloved prodigals… Sometimes I grow weary. When I don’t see results, I wonder if my prayers are accomplishing anything.”  , but Lori holds fast to the promise of Luke 18:1: to pray always and never give up.

Lori travels widely as a speaker for women’s ministry events, tea parties, retreats and conferences—bringing grace, transparency, and biblical hope to all who are longing, believing, and praying. Through her writing, speaking and ministry, she helps others say:

“Keep praying. God hears even the prayers that feel unanswered.”
